MRS. OSBOURNE is coming home! It is with great honor that we announce that our short film is an Official Selection at the 2022 New Hampshire Film Festival. Three years ago we shot this little film at the Moffatt-Ladd House in Portsmouth, NH. Since then, Mrs. Osbourne has been on quite the journey all over the world and has gone on to receive numerous official selections and awards. Now, we are bringing Charlotte home for her final film festival, back to Portsmouth where it all began.

MRS. OSBOURNE will screen at the Shawna Shea Film Festival. This film, an Official Selection, will be featured in Shorts Block Five appearing at the Sturbridge Host Hotel in Sturbridge, MA on Saturday, September 25. SSFF is an active supporter of filmmakers local to Massachusetts and New England, directly supporting the Shawna E. Shea Memorial Foundation. We are beyond grateful to Skip Shea and the entire committee to be included in this year’s festival!

About the Film

A new film from Tiny Frog Productions and Altan Films, MRS. OSBOURNE. The story of a young widow in England in the early 1800’s who faces a trying encounter when she visits her best friend’s country home, when she is pitted against the audacity of her friend’s wealthy older brother. Starring René Zara (Namaste, Letter of Truth), John Joseph Marshall (Project Olympus, Martin Eden), and Killarney Traynor (The Dinner Party). Directed by Gregory Bergeron.

Inspired by the works of Jane Austen, MRS. OSBOURNE was written by René Zara in her first ever screen production. The film was shot in September 2019 at the picturesque Moffatt-Ladd House and Garden, a national historic landmark situated in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA. Mrs. Osbourne’s iconic dress was designed and constructed by noted Boston-based dress maker, Rusty Palumbo.

MRS. OSBOURNE has been an Official Selection at many film festivals worldwide, including the Jane Austen International Film Festival in Bath, England, UK. This film has also gone on to receive multiple awards including the Grand Jury Award for Best Indie Short Film at the New York International Film Awards, Audience Award for Drama at Online New England Film Festival, Platinum Best Drama Short at Royal Wolf Film Awards and Best New England Short at SENE Film Fest.
